Tiny House: Shelter
2024 - Coniferous Forest

The Tiny House: Shelter project, developed by Studio MEMM, was designed to provide a living experience connected to nature, nestled in a coniferous forest. The client's brief required a compact 40m² residence that offers functionality and comfort, with spaces such as a kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, bedroom with closet, office, living room, and dining area. Inspired by the simplicity of huts and organic forms, the design harmonizes technology and nature. The choice of materials such as solid bricks, freijó wood, and glass enhances the integration of the house with the natural environment, offering a sense of shelter without compromising the surroundings.

The structure of the Tiny House is defined by the brick dome and glass panels, which bring natural light into the interior. Creative solutions, such as translucent partitions with vegetation, ensure spaciousness without sacrificing privacy. The house was carefully positioned on the site to minimize environmental impact, preserving the landscape. Moreover, the use of sustainable materials and an optimized layout increases efficiency and comfort, highlighting the subtle integration of technology with a design that evokes tranquility and a connection to the present.
